Single cru Barolo, with these scores, at this PRICE? Over 60% off? Let’s GOOOOO!!!

BAROLO! Not for $125, but for a new, LOWEST EVER price of just $49!! TRIPLE 94 POINTS, rockin’, 0-60 in 3.8 seconds Barolo, from the warm and friendly, supremely enticing 2017 vintage. Cascina Adelaide’s BUSSIA, folks! The Barolo-savvy are already packing this into their carts, as they should be – this stunner has it ALL – SINGLE CRU. A whopping 60% OFF. Outrageous, stomach-dropping, hair-raising price...yeah...um...$76 OFF?! Madness!

You saw the TRIPLE 94 POINTS, right? This is SPECIAL! All the classic, enticing markers of nebbiolo are on display here...smoked hay, red plums, bright cranberries, rose petals, iron ore, pomegranate tea, Luxardo cherries, cedar, and even a touch of coal dust. Seriously layered, with plenty of velvety tannins...this wine is going to be around easily a decade-plus, but unlike many young Barolos, you can drink this tonight! In fact, I plan to...got the perfect steak defrosting since last night in the fridge! Oh, baby!

We LOVE Cascina Adelaide’s entire portfolio. The Barolo Barons among you surely remember their silky 4 Vigne cuvee that achieves whip-snapping sellout speeds each year… welp, time to meet big brother (don’t worry, he’s friendly). Cascina Adelaide owns plots in some of Barolo’s finest vineyards across the appellation, including Baudana, Fossati, Cannubi, and this here Bussia. The winery continues to just absolutely CRUSH IT in the press, and we are beyond stoked to have made friends early on! Bussia is considered by many to be one the the TOP 5 Barolo Crus, and was the very first to be named on a label, all the way back in 1961! You saw the $76 OFF part, right?!?! It baffles…like Canada getting seemingly worse every year in the World Juniors tournament. (Yikes!) Barely enough to go ‘round, so make sure you’re not the one who misses out! Good luck!

“Freshly mown hay, licorice and leather aromas augment the flavors of plum and cherry in this square-shouldered red. Balanced in its broad profile, with ample fruit to counter the dense tannins. Tar and menthol accents emerge on the mineral-tinged aftertaste. Best from 2025 through 2048. 1,200 cases made, 50 cases imported.”

“Here's an exciting new discovery. The 2017 Barolo Bussia is balanced and bright, showing a very clean and honest portrayal of this large vineyard site that extends to both the villages of Monforte d'Alba and Barolo. This wine is characterized by a tight and silky texture, with delicate wild cherry and blueberry accents. There are pretty hints of savory spice and campfire ash that last many long minutes. This 5,000-bottle release is a great debut effort from Cascina Adelaide.”

“A soft, juicy red with plum, walnut and cedar aromas and flavors. Full and flavorful with plenty of generous fruit that is nicely framed by the tannins. A solid and beautifully crafted red. Try after 2024.”

About The Producer

Amabile Droco, after enjoying a highly successful engineering career, fulfilled a lifelong dream in 1999 when he acquired an aging farmhouse and its adjacent vineyards nestled in the heart of the Barolo village. With the establishment of a top-notch winemaking team and the creation of a remarkable gravity-fed subterranean winery, their wine production predictably soared.

However, what truly distinguishes Cascina Adelaide is their extensive vineyard holdings and unwavering dedication to showcasing the rich terroirs found within the Barolo DOCG region. Their 12 hectares of holdings are spread across five villages in Barolo. Among their prized vineyards is the Fossati Cru, situated in the La Morra area, known for its abundant red and gray clay soils, making it renowned as a prime location for crafting exceptional Barolo wines with the potential for extended aging.
